Executive Access
This is a concise introduction to the metro area geared for senior executives new to the community or who have recently been promoted to positions of influence in the community.

Executive Access is comprehensive and engaging, exploring topics ranging from political, educational, economic, geographic, cultural and recreational points of view. This program is designed to orient executives to the people, places and issues of the Twin Cities metro area.

InterCity Leadership Visit
This trip is for leaders from the public and private sectors, the non-profit community and elected officials. Civic Source designs this as an opportunity for a community or organization to learn about a selected city’s challenges and achievements. Customized based on client/community needs, the visit will highlight innovation and include in-depth topic discussion. This program is designed to assist cities or organizations in applying these solutions to their community.

The Partnership
The Partnership creates a peer network for professionals of color who have recently relocated to Minneapolis Saint Paul. Participants meet other community and business leaders of color, learn about the region and develop a personal and professional network of peers. This program includes a series of community-focused information sessions, behind-the-scenes tours and casual get-togethers. The curriculum creates numerous opportunities to form new relationships with other relocated professionals as well as long-time residents.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Civic Source uses a unique definition of “community development.” We believe historic boundaries between economic, workforce and community development no longer apply. We consider the inter-relationship between those fields and develop strategies aimed at creating economic prosperity. Our work leverages government, nonprofit and private sector assets and creates workable solutions.

Our recent community development work:

  • Researched peer city strategies and created an economic development plan for a consortium of public and private sector partners;
  • Provided staffing for a public-private partnership focused on creating jobs in an economically diverse sub-region of a metropolitan area

Connect Communities Trip
This program is designed to facilitate a statewide vision and encourage regional collaboration between communities within a State.

Customized, a “Connect Community Trip” is based on the host organization’s interest and the selected community’s successes and challenges. The client may choose a similar size in-state city to visit and explore, or, may wish to bring their community leaders to the primary metro area for a learning experience.

Twin Cities Tutorial
This seminar is for individuals/organizations interested in building their civic involvement. The participants are interested in learning about the region, and hope to participate in positive change in their community.

Twin Cities Tutorial is an introduction to community issues. Program topics could include: “Minneapolis-St Paul in a Day”; “Introduction to Regional Priorities”; “Twin Cities Key Industries”; or “Current Metro Issues”.
